Alverne Restaurant is a family run business in the heart of Penzance offering the best in modern European cuisine and locally sourced produce.  

 

Having been catering over a long time and having encountered lots of different styles, Classically trained head chef Deryk Heywood has a genuine passion and flair for developing dishes that are modern and innovative, using the best seasonal and artisan produce which we have sourced from a network of local producers and suppliers. 

Our menu offers excellent and varied dishes featuring everything from an influence of Spanish and modern Mediterranean, to a choice of fresh fish offered every day from Newlyn on a daily specials board that changes from lunch to dinner.

Deliveries of fish arrives at the restaurant several times a day to ensure prime fresh fish, crab and lobster which can be found on our daily specials board.

All meals are cooked to order to ensure freshness and quality and can easily encompass a variety of dietary needs. We also offer a separate vegan menu.     

An intimate meal in our dining room is always a treat but guests are equally welcome to visit for a casual cup of coffee or a relaxing drink on our cosy sofas or suntrap patio.

Open throughout the day and into the evening we'll always give you a warm welcome.
